This is one of the last REAL Chinese restaurants for family-style service. (I am so sick and tired of pre-made food buffet-style heated for who-knows-how-long in a styrofoam take-out container. Yuck!) I love their yang chow fried rice, spare rib tips in a black bean sauce (yum!), hot-and-sour soup, and twice-cooked pork. They have a huge(!) menu. Mostly, I do the dim sum, and unlike some of the other reviews I’ve seen, I’m in heaven!
2nd time I try dim sum. I had tangerine chicken with fried rice and egg drop soup. Fried rice was plain and salty. Egg drop soup was very gooey, but tasted like it should. Tangerine chicken was deep-fried, over-fried where it was dry and chewy. Too much tangerine sauce, it was super sweet. I tried the dim sum – pork dumplings, they were good! Staff not too friendly, and impatient. Would I go back? No.
