My uncle has been part of this franchise for a number a years. Therefore, I’ve been going to this restaurant in various cities/states for years. This particular location, doesn’t have the most knowledgeable staff. The food is fine (mediocre at best), but not the same quality as the other locations. My favorite are Pasadena and Las Vegas, NV. The only reason why we come back each time is the location and outdoor patio.

Great place with good staff and service. However, I was a bit disappointed by the food. I went with high expectations, and as soon as I ordered my Cannelloni, I noticed they were immersed in a bath of sauce and bchamel. I’m originally from the Italian region of Abruzzo, and this is not how they are served. Furthermore, the excessive sauce and cheese were just too much to take, and by the time you managed to get to the actual cannelloni, your appetite was a long way gone. I also observed what my friends at the table ordered, and in general, I noticed a lot of excess in sauces and flavors. Although these excesses were disturbing my appetite, I’m sure it’s a personal preference, and others might find it appetizing.

Nice true Italian. We enjoyed Il Fornaio. The food was good (not exceptional), the service friendly and mostly on top of things, and the wine list interesting. We began with the antipasto della casa, which was very sound (the usual suspects). My wife had ravioli alla Lucana, which had a nice level of snap, and I had a sole special (good, not great). We chose simple dishes, so it’s hard to be fair judges, but we’d be likely to be back. Recommended.
