My Review Of The Burnt Truck. The Burnt Truck, going through Yelp I saw that this was a must go to food truck as well. Going on their website to see where they will be going too, I saw that they were attending the RV show at the angel stadium, which is where I was last week! When we first spotted the truck, I loved the design of the truck, black being my favorite color and all and red being my second favorite color, it was just an awesome sight! So pretty much The Burnt Truck, serves sliders, amazing sliders if i may add!Approaching the window, I’m greeted with the workers inside, all of them seem super nice and chill, I ended up ordered 4 of their sliders, which were: The western slider, the fried chicken slider, the Vietnamese pork and lastly the home made PBNJ slider. For all four sliders it ended up only being about $9 something, which is dirt cheap for me!When I picked up my order, three together, and the PBNJ was on its lonesome. The sliders looked delicious, I couldn’t wait to feast on them! I went with my ex, my friend Jasso, my sister and her boyfriend. My ex and Jasso ended up ordering at The OC Food Truck, my sister and her boyfriend ordered from The Burnt Truck, they both ordered the fried chicken slider, and also the chesse burger.I first tried the Vietnamese pork slider, which was marinated pork loin, pickled daikon and carrots, and garlic spread. This one was pretty good, but sadly out of the four I got was on the bottom. It was pretty much like a bbq pork baguette, but slider form which was pretty good!Second I tried the western slider, which was angus patty, cheese, burnt truck bbq sauce, and onion rings. This was pretty bomb, the angus patty was cooked perfectly, medium well! It was nice and juicy, the crunch from the onion rings, and then splashed with their bbq sauce was a happy bite each time.Third was the fried chicken slider, this one looked bomb, buttermilk fried chicken, garlic potato spread, and country gravy. Taking my first bite, you get the first taste of the garlic potato spread with the gravy , the smooth texture from it, and as you chew on you get the crunch from the fried chicken. My first thought was…KFC WHO? Mashed potato all over your fingers, led to finger lickin goodness =)Fourth was the PBNJ slider, which was pretzel peanut butter, berry jam, and sliced banana. My first look at it, I was like banana?!?!??! with PBNJ?!?! This will be interesting, taking my first bite I totally forgot about the pretzel, and well let me just say that I yelled out WHOA! because the flavors was like fire works in your mouth! Im serious, the pop from the pretzel, and the burst of flavors was amazing. The first taste was the peanut butter, and soon after the berry jam, as your chewing it first reminds you of the chunky peanut butter, but just alot better thanks to the pretzel. Suddenly you get another texture which is the banana, and seriously it blends in with everything so well. It was mouth watering!I was still hungry, and well my reaction and what not to the PBNJ made Jasso want to get one, and as he ordered I ended up asking the chefs which slider goes best with the quail egg. They ended up giving me the cheeseburger with the quail egg. Cheeseburger came with angus patty, american cheese, grilled onions, and avocado spread. I asked for the spread to be on the side because I dont like avocado, and instead put the quail egg ontop. First off the presentation was amazing! And taking the first bite, the yolk from the egg pops and mixes into your bite, and it is bomb! Just like the PBNJ i was sad when I came to my last bite!Overall, whenever the Burnt Truck is near garden grove, I will gladly make my way to them again! The workers are friendly, and their food is amazing!Feast well!- Ssp
