Risottos, pastas, pho…. I really like blue marlin because they have something for everyone. They have a range of items such as sea urchin risottos to pasta’s, Vietnamnese pho, egg wrapped rice, and even brownies. It’s quick, affordable, casual Asian-influenced food made well.
Fast and well priced Japanese fusion. I really like blue marlin. whenever i have friends in from out of town, we just stroll the 8-9 blocks to blue marlin and hang out (unless we are lazy, then we drive it). good food, good friends and beers; what more can one ask for?my all time favorite dish is the hamburg plate w/ demi glaze teriyaki. its essentially a big ass seasoned hamburger patty sitting atop a sizzling hot plate. i don’t know why this is so good, perhaps its the beast in me coming out?forget hurry curry (a few doors down) and curry house (across the street), the curry at blue marlin, imo, tops both of them. i’ve only tried the pork cutlet curry and the chicken curry but they were both good enough for me to turn my back on the previously mentioned curry places.as for appetizers, the fried chicken, calamari and french fies are all yummy. whoa, i just realized that i eat like crap.if you are a healthy eater, don’t miss out on the om-rice dishes. its basically a rice dish wrapped inside a egg blanket, kinda like a rice/egg omelette. my next trip to blue marlin will be to try the creamy uni (sea urchin) over rice or the uni risotto. can’t wait!
