I was introduced to Taco Tuesday at Tequila Jacks by a friend and have been hooked since. $1.20 for their choiced tacos and $4.50 for select beers, wines, well drinks, and house margaritas in a fish bowl glass…can’t beat that. Not to mention I love the carnitas here (tons of flavor) and the grilled veggie tacos.I visited once on Cinco De Mayo and due to this, the menu was at regular price. No Taco Tuesday that night. Wish there could have been a heads up but I was ok with this as it gave me an opportunity to further explore the menu outside of the taco Tuesday menu. I ordered the steak tampiquena which was very flavorful along with its side dishes. My only gripe is I wish the meat could have been larger. Other than that, it was tasty.I always have a good time when visiting and I receive great service. My visit on Cinco De Mayo proved that I can have a great time even outside of the Taco Tuesday menu. Tequila Jacks is a great place to be on the Long Beach shoreline.Visit date 5/5/2015 and previous dates
Tequila lovers will love this place. Great taste of mexican food and a chilling place for drinking and enjoying your time with friends. Tacos are recommended. Lovely setting facing the marina. Great prices and seating. Lovely service. House tequila is recommended.
Was doing the tourist thing around the Pike/Pine District and decided to park it at the bar for lunch. I had the grilled Carne Asada soft tacos. They were good and I had no problems with the service. The bar is a good place to people watch which is one of the things I like to do when on a road trip.
Casual Mexican food while people watching along Shoreline Village. Liked my tamale and chicken enchilada. Didn’t care for the corn pudding, so I skipped it.
Better Than I Expected. I knew nothing about this restaurant, and I must confess that I had some doubts going in, because it’s located in Shoreline Village, which looks like it caters more to tourists than locals. But I have to say I was fairly impressed. There was plenty of outdoor seating, they make the guacamole at your table, and overall the food was very good. It was better than I expected, I would have no doubts about going back.
Food is ok, but service is slow. Taco Tuesday is the best time to go to this place, any other time is an over priced mess. The tacos I ordered on a non-taco Tuesday day were the same tacos but for $11 dollars vice $1.50. Also equally irritating is the unfinished state of thier inside dining area. This place has under gone a great remodel, but they abandoned the project half way through. The ceiling in the front dining area is totally missing any finishing and exposing all of the sewer an drain piping. This place has potential, but has routinely disappointed me with it’s service.
