Wahoos it for?(everybody)The small and humble restaurant in Wahoos is simply a model for all restaurants that wish to be successful. Located in san clemente in a small corner of los mares plaza, this restaurant packs big business and even bigger quality. With its casual ambiance, it has both common and unique, but very well executed items on their menu. Including the citrus slaw taco, onion rings, and fish salad.Frankly when you walk in, it’s a very underwhelming sight to say the least, blue ceiling fairly, uninspired design, and white ceiling fans that could fit in just about anywhere. The clientele is composed of mainly people who are eating there for lunch, but it is not common to see families and children there two. Either way neither of these factors should distract anybody from ordering their amazing food.Personally the citrus slaw taco is my favorite item on their menu the combination of crunchy vegetables covered with a tart vinaigrette sauce and balanced by the soft meat and taco shell create an experience that will take a long time to top. This taco is better in every single way compared to the bland combination of lettuce, meat, and cheese that is normally provided. But before you get your main course it is your duty to get their onion rings, ignore all the sauce that it comes with because these works of beauty are never overcooked, always golden, and always at the perfect temperature to eat, a crunchy and juicy delight for your taste buds. Another prodigious item is their Fish Taco and Fish Salad which is what they are known for the best. While personally I dont like fish, I almost revoked that statement as the delicately spiced sea creature was being consumed. An item I would personally stay away from is the taquitos. Simply put, they are bland. While others in my family would disagree I think that their taquitos are not worth buying simply due to how average they are, they are very easily forgettable and dont leave an impression that Wahoos could otherwise deliver.I would recommend going to wahoos in any environment other than sophisticated one. The service is amazing, the employers even know our names! All of the employees are nice and the restaurant is ran by very kind hearted and caring people. If you have any surfing or skating stickers make sure to bring them, because you can put them up wherever you like. Another recommended item you should bring if you have kids is quarters, who knows how much money the devil known as the gumball machine has made them. Either way who doesnt love gumballs? The food they serve is best for lunch, it is lighter and faster than a dinner. You can eat a tasty, healthy, and cheap lunch.

One of my Orange County favorites! Wahoo’s has been serving the SoCal community with some of the best surf food out there since the late 80’s. Their food is a mixture of Mexican, Brazilian and Asian fare. Not only is the food fresh and tasty, they are big in the community promoting many local events. Wahoo’s has a great partnership with the surfing and skateboarding community as well. There are several options of protein to choose from for your entree and the portions are generous. I tried the Outer Reef Burrito this time and it was delicious. I love walking out of this place full, but in a good way. foodartandculture.com

Good Food. I work around the area and choosing Wahoo’s is an office favorite. I recommend the Chicken Enchilada with red sauce, chicken tortilla soup, and of course fish tacos. I have also been to their Fullerton location and they all offer great service and good food. Their white rice and black beans are also very good!

Incredibly satisfying. I had my first encounter with Wahoo’s today. Although the menu is hard to decipher for a first-time customer, most of its items turned out to be exactly what I had imagined it to be. The fish tacos are perfectly seasoned – the fish is grilled and therefore adds a moist taste. It’s not too rich and not too bland. Wahoo’s Sandwich (chicken) was delicious as well … and they give you generous amounts of salsa. Yummmy.
