After a long hike in the Californian dessert our hiking crew stopped in Yucca Valley for lunch. It was a quiet place on a Wednesday afternoon and we had our pick of the tables. We liked the decorated menus on the walls. The staff was friendly as we waited for our non hiker friends to join us.We shared some fries and some delicious fried pickles and then ordered our mains. Most of us ordered from the entree section which gave a choice of sides: mac n’ cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, or potato salad. I had the beef brisket sandwich with potato salad and mac n’ cheese. The sandwich was delicious. I tried both BBQ sauces as well, both good – one sweeter than the other. The sides were ok, nothing too flavourful or memorable. My one son ordered the St Louis Style Pork ribs and he really enjoyed them. He couldn’t even finish them all so I had a nibble and can attest that they were indeed tasty. All in all it was a nice lunch stop.

Great BBQ Here. Having known John and Sharon from the competition BBQ circuit for years I had eaten their cooking many times before .This nice lil spot in Yucca Valley Ca will be a busy one We tried the Sampler Combo Plate….. NICE, Chicken, Ribs, Pork and Beef Brisket done rightSharon’s Potato Salad is KILLERJohn serves que sauceless and offers a table bottle of tangy BBQ sauce My only recommended change or addition would be a sweet sauce on the table also YUMMMMM enjoy
