Wouldn’t go back. Maybe it’s just me, but comparing the sublime cuisine of Cracovia to the heavy-handed glop at Golden Europe is close to sacrilege. Everything is swathed in gelatinous and bland gravy, bland spartzle as an accompaniment and goopy red cabbage. I LOVE red cabbage, too, but this was like cabbage-flavored blanc mange. The elderly patrons there seemed to groove on the food but I kept thinking about Cracovia’s nuanced flavors and my late motherinlaw’s cooking. Both far superior. RIP Peggy.
