Not too shabby. Food was just kinda average honestly. We both got pulled pork sandwiches. There wasn’t anything spectacular about them. I will say that the onion rings were probably the best I’ve ever had. We probably should’ve gotten the ribs that they are known for but oh well. Maybe next time.
It’s clear why Hickory House is such an institution, their ribs are FINE!! Don’t come here if you’re expecting silver service, but if tasty ribs and a cold beer is what you are seeking, at one of the most affordable places on the mountain, then look no further. Especially good for families and groups.

We wanted to talk to a manager, but was told they did not have one.What idiot lets a business run on its own. Anyways the food (ribs.slaw and fries) was mediocre at best, the garlic bread was awesome. So I will go back if I need garlic breed.
Smokin’ Delicious!. So, I went with the Brisket, Ribs & Sausage combo, which included garlic toast, cole slaw, beans and potato salad.With the slight exception to the beans, everything was outstanding! I am not a huge rib fan, either, but these lived up to all the awards they have won.I loved the sausage, but I am always partial to sausage at any BBQ joint.The sauces are spot on, be it the regular or spicy. Great service on a beautiful summer evening!I would weigh 400 pounds if I lived near this place. Excellent! Best BBQ in Colorado.
