Sadly, Casa Tua wasn’t our favorite experience. While the staff greeting was warm and friendly the service quality diminished significantly throughout the evening, as the restaurant continued to fill. The risotto of the day was my selection, but unfortunately failed to live up to its expectations. The rice consistence was all over the place, from firm grains, soft grains and al dent (perfect!).The NY strip was particularly tough. I’m not a fan of strip but you can typically get reasonable strip at most restaurants. And this was below par. With so many great options in Aspen, I don’t think we’ll be back; at least not for a long time.
Fettuccine was lukewarm. The sommelier poured red wine into a glass that had some white wine in it. I’ve had better Ossa Buco. Felt like they we’re rushing us. From the time we ordered, the first plate came out within 5 minutes and after they picked up the empty plates, the main course came out within minutes.
Great food, but it’s not a crime to bring the check with the meal is over.
Outstanding. Excellent food and service. The branzino app is a must try and the filet was one of the best I’ve ever had.
