All appetizers and entrees were fantastic, especially the Crab Cake appetizer, which was OUTSTANDING. They were out of the Salmon, so ordered the Trout instead, and I was very pleased. Not crazy about the Truffle Fries, but not their fault. Atmosphere very enjoyable. I’ve heard it can be loud but we were there later so no problem. Perrin the sommelier was very helpful and added to our enjoyment.
Fun place. The crab cakes are incredible don’t miss them. We had fillets with the generous portion of vegetables and they even gave us a break on some glasses of wine and we were treated well. Thumbs up!
Jimmy’s is the worst restaurant in Aspen. Don’t believe the hype, as the positive reviews have been written by Jimmy himself and his staff. This place has the worst service in all of Aspen. They are pretentious, and the food is mediocre yet incredibly expensive. Ask around and it will become clear….this place is horrible. There are plenty of excellent restaurants in Aspen…avoid this one.
When someone recommends this place, they are probably talking about the bar, which is cool. The restaurant is overpriced, staffed poorly and so on.
Disappointed. We got a lot of hype about this place. After making reservations we still had to wait another 1/2 hour for a table. Meals we just OK, nothing great. Service was slow and the waitress never returned to check if our meal was as ordered. Never got that 2nd drink I ordered. The bill was prompt.
Overpriced, bland, slow service
Great food–LOUD restaurant!!. We went there for dinner while we were vacationing in Aspen. We had an 815 reservation & were sat promptly at 815. The cocktails were superb & the food was absolutely out of this world. Their crab cakes & trout were absolutely to die for. My friend had the ahi salad, which also looked awesome. The staff was great & very accommodating. The ONLY complaint I had that is was SUPER loud. The tables are so close together that you hear EVERYTHING at the other tables. The guy behind me was literally so close, I almost asked if he wanted a bite!!
