First time eating out in Aspen. My wife and I had our three young kids with us but still wanted to go somewhere nice. A friend recommended Justice Snow’s. You first walk into a quaint dimly lit bar area but we were seated in the lower are in a nice booth big enough for 8 people. The kids all ordered off of the kids menu which had more selection than one would have guessed for as nice as this restaurant is. My wife ordered the Salmon and said it was fantastic. I am from Nebraska and am a steak snob like any proper Nebraskan so I thought twice about all the bad cuts of meat I have had outside that state, but still chose the New York Strip. Hands down best steak in Colorado! Will be making this a frequent haunt whenever we are near Aspen again, with or without kids.

Wow. The food was really really good. The decor and atmosphere were pretty good other than a few loud patrons. I really liked the copper-topped tables. I would definitely go back. The food alone did it for me. We started with 2 Penicillins (bourbon, simple syrup and lemon juice). They were decent but a little tart. We got the crispy brussel sprouts with a red wine vinaigrette. The red wine gave the sprouts a sweet taste, but not too sweet. Pretty good. I also got the butternut squash soup with truffle oil. It was good. For my entree I got the flat iron steak with truffle fries. It was too notch, especially the truffle fries with garlic and parsley. I will dream about these tonight. For dessert my wife and I split the sticky toffee with vanilla ice cream. It was really delicious. We ended the night with cappuccinos. A little pricy but to be expected in aspen.
