30 years of visiting Krabloonik and never a bad meal. Walk down an icy path to a rustic building heated & lit by gas lamps. Friendly service, beautiful view. Wild mushroom soup, house made breads and jellies, unusual meats (elk, buffalo, ostrich, trout) all excellently prepared. This is more than a dining experience, it’s an enjoyable adventure!
Not FIne Dining. How can it be that I really liked the food and service but voted dislike… The grandson. When we arrived there was a little boy about 3 that was running around in boots with spurs. The cute image would work in many places but not in a place where one is aout to spend upper $150 per head. But it got worse…The kid never sat down and was running everywhere… including the kitchen and the ladies room. Keep in mind he had on boots and spurs. How the staff kept from stepping on him or tripping while carrying the meals to the patrons was a remarkable feat for which I salute them. The kid was a busy little temptest… Spreading his germs across all the empty table settings while trying to blow out the candles. Big huffs across plates, silverware, and glasses… YUMMO! And not one piece was removed from any of the tables… Even though this was watched by the staff. For this I give the place a big Fail. But that is not all folks, imagine in the midst of the meal, a temper tantrum… not once but twice. Dealt with how… Well not dealt with. Allowed to happen in the middle of an aisle and near a set of stairs…However at one point the child did go the table but stood, in his boots and spurs, on the nice leather dining chair. How could this happen and why would I rank this establishment which actually had very god food and service, a dislike… this was the grandson of the owner. If the Owner would allow this kind of behavior and unsanitary fallout to go unchecked, whatelse is he allowing to go unchecked or uncorrected. What kind of boss is he that his own staff apologizes for his grandson’s behavior? I know because I asked the staff about the child and how this could happen. I complained about the blowing across the tables and they knew but did nothing to correct the situation. What esle is being ignored?Fine Dining as advertised is should mean Fine Dining. The behavior permitted is what one would expect at a family style place…
