Fans of the world renowned ‘Nobu’ chain of restaurants will rejoice and celebrate the fact that Nobu Matsuhisa (founding Nobu chef) is resident at Matsuhisa. Furthermore, the menu at Matsuhisa is much the same as Nobu, meaning you can enjoy your favorite dishes prepared by the master. Positioned at the top-end of the Aspen dining scene, the service is good, albeit a little forced and not outstanding. Furthermore, the restaurant is loud and could do with some sound conditioning. And on the night we dined, whoever was in charge of the music was obviously not satisfied with the play list as it was constantly being changed, often mid-song, which I found very distracting and effected the dining rooms vibe. Criticisms aside, Matsuhisa is pleasantly familiar and worth a visit…
