Was skeptical at first because I am not a sandwich person. We had the chicken meatballs, which were great, and the French Dip sandwich. Both were satisfying!
9:30pm FridayServer: JugoWe stopped in after the comedy festival for a bite to eat and were seated right away BUT it took 15 minutes for the server to arrive. When she did we ordered drinks and our meal in case we didn’t see her again. Its a good thing we did because we never saw her again. She didn’t ask how I wanted my burger and it came out rare, yuck. I tried to catch someone to send it back but I couldn’t get anyone to stop. After an hour I asked a runner for a box and the check. One of the cooks brought the check and we left. I really felt like we would have been there all night if the cook hadn’t taken pity on us. If Jugo is your server ask for someone else right away.
We went hunting around Aspen for an easy eat place and came across – The White House, my first thoughts were its the name of a strip club back in NZ…..dirty!The bar tender was super friendly and made us a great grape cocktail and for dinner we had the Cod Fish sandwich and the Macho Salad all where extremely well put together, full of taste and at a great cost, unlike a night at the strippers….
On a race trip from Las Vegas to home we stopped for a very fast meal and hit the road again,. On our trip this week we are looking forward to dining at White House Tavern in Aspen, we will have the French Dip Again…Recomended
Although they seem to be famous for their sandwich type cuisine, my favourite dish here is the Macho Salad, without croutons. I have been here several times. It is a cozy establishment with good service and consistently good presentation and taste. A great addition to Aspen.

Awesome Staff. I had the best time at Whitehouse Tavern this past Saturday. The bartenders Shannon & Aaron were awesome and soooo much fun! I loved the chicken sandwich too!
