The food here was good and our steak and chicken were cooked perfectly. It is pricey but to be expected for a ski in ski out location with an excellent view and atmosphere. We did have to ask a couple time for our drinks. The breakfast buffet has many options.
Horrible food & even worse service. The atmosphere & drinks were great, but it was all downhill from there. We had very fishy salmon sushi that we had to send back, fatty lamb pasta & the worst fries anyone of us had ever tasted!! And that’s only the beginning of our poor experience. There’s not much to choose from in Beaver Creek, but do yourself a favor & pick any place but this one.
Excellent View. Good intimate atmosphere. 12/8/12 LunchGreat atmosphere and view. Sit in the bar and you can see the white mountain. Right off the ski slopes. Chereve Sandwich – highly Recommend. Very heavy but amazing.
The breakfast buffet is fabulous!. The tomato soup is good, but we found most of the other stuff on the menu, including the lobster pot pie, pretty disapointing.
Expensive, Bad Hostesses, Good Waiters. There are only two reasons to go to 8100 in the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. First, there are not many restaurants in the Beaver Creek village, so one can quickly run out of places to dine. Second, the waiters. We must have gone to 8100 six times when considering lunch and dinners. The waiters were all very very good in this packed restaurant. Anthony was very attentive. The lady with an Alaskan or Minnesotan accent was very friendly. Lastly, Steve (?) and his wife were also very very good. He made our bad lunch fun and we wanted to come back.Food: The food is very hit and miss. It is all decent, but not what one expects for the prices 8100 charges. In all, there was one night that we were all satisfied with our meals.Hosts: The female hosts are terrible. They stand around in a little pack and seemingly do nothing but cause angst. They were not outwardly courteous, which hospitality is to be expected. We showed up at 10:30am for breakfast the day we were leaving Beaver Creek. I walked in, asked for a table, and was told that the restaurant is now closed and lunch will be served at 11am. The buffet was still out and we could have loaded up plates of food and eaten in the corner. We just wanted a good meal before a day of travel. So we waited in the lobby until 11am to be seated. At 11am we went back, and were told that we could not be seated until 11:30am! Such terrible communication. So we left, frustrated with not just the 8100, but the Park Hyatt as well!In all, if you venture to 8100 you can expect to be greeted by unprofessional women that just might make you want to turn around and leave, be waited on by fun and competent waiters, and pay a high price for generally mediocre food.
