Great mole sauce. Amazing …. Great mole sauce. Amazing drinks and tequila selection.
We had supper on a Friday evening. It was a nice evening so we ate outside. I got the fajitas – not very good. I’m used to a sizzling platter. Frankly the vegetables and chicken appeared to be precooked and ‘warmed’. The vegetables were cold, simming in oil. The rice was cold. My family had enchiladas who said it was good but the food was not hot. Cannot blame this on crowds as we were among the few there at that time. Not great food – will drive to Edwards or go into Avon for better mexican food.
Agave in Boulder. Agave, the Mexican restaurant in Boulder is authentic, delicious food with a beautiful and romantic vibe. Perfect for a date, a busy night out or with family. The margaritas are great and I would suggest getting the one with Agave nectar, just to experience the full effect without the predictable sweet and sour taste. The spinach enchiladas are absolutely amazing and I’m still dreaming about them to this day. How do they make a green sauce so delectable and full of flavor? I was impressed with the steak and chicken fajita bowl, which came along with other freshly grilled vegetables and cactus! I am VERY picky with Mexican food and typically don’t even like it. But this far exceeded my expectations. Again, I’m speaking of the Agave restaurant in Boulder, CO.
Mixed. Sometimes good, real good. Sometimes, uh, not so much. Sometimes the bar/nightclub damage shows in the bright light of day. Sort of dirty and gross. But when it’s good, it’s good.
Taco Tuedays!!!!!!!!!. So Agave is a nice cozy restaurant that serves Mexican Food. Even though I wouldn’t say that it is quite authentic Mexican Food as they claim. You see bits and pieces of authenticity in the food they serve. Like the salsa that has a bit of a roasted pepper flavor or the fresh tortillas that an older lady makes when you first walk in. However I am not here to talk about authentic Mexican Food. I here to talk about their fried tacos which I loooooooove so much. The tacos have a fried corn shell with your choice of chicken or Beef , topped with lettuce, tomatoe and cheese. With a splash of their roasted salsa you are good to go. You would think they are greasy but they are not. They are deeeelicious!!!!!! But the best part about it is on Tuesdays they are only $1.50 each. That might make them taste even better who knows. Either way I keep coming back for more. I would definitely recommend Taco Tuesdays at Agave!
Delicious mole and best tortillas in the valley. Service can be inconsistent, prices high but occasional specials are nice.
Good clean service. Food well portioned for the price. Fijitas dinner, soft taco meal, margirita and corona $37 plus tip.
