We had an outstanding experience! Our waiter Travis not only was attentive and informative about the menu, but he recommended a hiking trail for us that was first rate. We had the Lobster and Bison specials and they were incredible! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Splendido service. The food at Splendido is on top of this world! The service however is not. There has been change in the quality of the servers in the past few years and it reflects on the diner’s overall experience. I hope they can figure this out as it is a truly amazing experience when it all comes together, as it had in the past.
As close to perfect as a Colorado sunset. Where do I start. The room. The pool and decks. The piano every Night. The wine list with values to find-ours was a 2003 Spanish white. Or the corn soup made by some chef god? Maybe the pork belly worth some several hundred words, or the cavatelli like an Emiglio Romana holiday. Or the apple tarte with caramel and calvados. Hmm. Not sure. Come here. The locals do.
Splendido = Amazing. At a local’s recommendation, we decided to try Splendido. I checked the reviews first and saw a few things about service or the piano being loud, and decided it was worth the risk anyway. Boy was I happy I took the chance. Not only was this one of the best meals I’ve had, but the service was outstanding and the piano/singer was fantastic. We sat in the bar, which is right by the piano, and were able to have conversations at normal levels. I suppose if you sat at the bar table right next to the piano it may be loud, but if this is something that bothers you, make a reservation instead of just showing up. Meals included the sweetbreads app, NY strip with bone marrow, and the rabbit. All of the food was cooked perfectly with flavor infusions that explode in your mouth. Since I enjoy a glass of wine, but can’t tell the difference between a $50 & $500 bottle (I’m more of a whiskey guy), they were able to make a fantastic selection for us to pair with our dinner. We topped off the night with creme brle and port. I have a new favorite restaurant in Beaver Creek and look forward to my next visit.
An absolutely fantastic dining experience! The lobster and potato dish was to die for and the Buffalo steak Diane was fantastic!
This is my favorite restaurant in the Vail Valley. 14 years ago my wife and I dined here on our honeymoon and we’ve returned almost every season to enjoy another fabulous meal. This year was no exception. The elk tenderloin is the best I’ve ever had along with their foie gras starter. I highly recommend this restaurant.
