A gem. Food was delicious. Enjoyed seeing the waitstaff/kitchen having a good time while they worked.
Had a great dinner, but service was lackluster. The small plates are great to share; the pork cheeks, braised goat and lamb t-bones were stand outs. Wine list is phenomenal!
Fantastic happy hour wines, delicious scallops, amazing veal tenderloin, t terrific desserts!
Best in Avon. Exceptional food and service and very reasonable (*resort reasonable) prices. The seasonal menu is updated perfectly; there’s always a few new options and you’re happy to see your favorites still there too. The ambiance is a nice escape from the casual side of the valley, one of the very few places with a cosmopolitan feel.Try the happy hour, $5 house wine, $8 small plates, you can’t shop at city market for those prices.
Girls Night. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. While the pate, orange truffle vinaigrette, and scallops where amazing. The best part was of the night was the service. Our waiter was sweet, knowledgeable, and generally helpful. But, the best was the gentleman who I assume was manager/potential owner that generously bought us lemoncello. Sadly for him, the fab lemoncello immediately turned us from 40 year old fab professional to 12 year old squealing girls. However, it was exactly what we needed. So thank you Vin48.
Vanilla bean creme brle. This is the best creme brle I’ve tasted. The combination of fresh fruit and cookies made this otherwise unassuming dish outstanding!
Interesting. The menu reads bettter than the chef’ cook, but in this small town, you go with what you have. The lobster bisque was more like lobster consomme. Tasty enough. No singing though. The scallops over parsnip puree and oxtail were good enough. Again no singing. The charcuterie plate was weak though. The sausage was bland, the pesto was too odd, the headcheese wasn’t good. No rilletete, no pate?? Weak. The potstickers were over cooked but tasty. In this resort town, a better choice than most. But not up to big city standard. Try it.
