One of my favorite quick lunch places. I get a clean, fresh arugula salad, limoncello and Salsiccia peperoni pizza every time. I’ve yet to leave unhappy from the food. One thing I particularly like about Pizzeria Locale is their menu layout. The pizza is divided between red and white sauce options. There is never ever this experience of getting a pizza that is not what you thought it would be because you weren’t careful enough to read every ingredient (because you were so excited to have pizza and assumed that it would be red sauce. Seriously, what business does pepperoni have commingling with white sauce on a pizza crust?). I am a red lover. If I get a pizza, even with the most amazing ingredients, and it has white sauce/olive oil, I am devastated. Their gluten free crust is quite delicious, though I prefer the traditional. It’s best to get your own pizza too, unless you’re sharing equally, but beware, someone is going to get robbed, there are no pizza rollers to be seen in this restaurant, but I like it that way. The interior is industrial-chic-vintage-subway tile bathroom-esc. Tiled places are delightful, think Casamento’s in NOLA or Grand Central Station oyster bar.- but new and improved. Pizzeria Locale always has gorgeous fresh flowers and pleasant, helpful staff, two extra gold stars in my book.
Favorite gluten-free pizza place in Boulder! You can’t go wrong with any of their pizzas. Like them spicier? Ask for a side of their chile sauce. Want extra meat for the pizza? They’ll happily give you an extra plate, full of meat! Also, they have delicious wine on tap. Sit at the back bar if you want to watch the cooks in action. monikamcmahon.com
Nice atmosphere. Bartender was very knowledgable and personable. Explained the differences in the pizza cooking vs traditionals. Awesome date night spot.
Fabulous Meal. Visiting Boulder and wanted a casual and delicious meal. Pizzeria locale surpassed our expectations. Polpettine (pork meatballls) were delicious. The Rapini Bianco pizza was thin crust and rich with flavor. Many thanks to Alex for his menu advice and fabulous service. Great evening!! Will go back before we leave Boulder.
Good Pizza Pie. We have heard that PL was some of the best Neapolitan pizza in Boulder so we had to try it. We found close parking. We walked in without a reservation (though one is recommended if you want a table) and got in right away to sit at the bar. The bar is like a sushi bar but you watch them make the pizza. The service was good and the waiter was helpful and accommodating of our 2 young children. Once we ordered, the pizzas came quickly. The menu has mainly a list of red sauce and white sauce pizzas with a couple calzones. We tried one of each sauce. The pizzas are about 11 inches a piece and meant to be for one person. They run from 13-17 dollars a piece. Not the place to go if you want to leave full but a great place to go if you want good quality neo pizza. The flavors were great and quality was obvious.
This place is excellent! We went in a large party on a busy New Year’s Eve night, and the service was absolutely flawless and the pizzas were delicious. I especially recommend the Mais pizza (corn, prosciutto, creme fraiche, garlic, cracked pepper) and the Zucca pizza (butternut squash, sage, goat cheese, onion, pancetta, apple). The budino (butterscotch pudding) is fantastic.
Slice of Heaven. Love this place. Affordable bliss. Sit at the bar and observe true pizza artisans at work. My go to after a long day at work.
