Very good restaurant with a good menu with a casual atmosphere in the coolest building in Boulder, Colorado.Three couples had dinner. Food quality was great, quantity was enough and it the bartender was competent. Price is in line with the rest of Boulder’s dining establishments which is to say on the high end of pricey. The waitstaff was well trained and attentive. All in all, a lovely experience.

Came to Spruce for brunch and it was awesome. There was a little wait for our food but they were pretty busy so it wasn’t bad. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. On his recommendation, we got the chicken & waffles but substituted the waffle for the blueberry griddle cake (it was beyond good). The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy an seasoned well. We also got the classic benedict with black forest ham, smoked salmon, and avocado (I couldn’t make up my mind). It had a lemon Tabasco hollandaise that I probably could have just drunk straight from a vat, and the egg was perfectly poached. The potatoes that accompanied it were tasty and had a nice kick. We will absolutely be coming back if we’re in town again!

Came to Spruce after being turned away from another restaurant which was full. Very pleasantly surprised and happy to have ended up at Spruce. We ordered oysters which were fresh and tasty, shaved asparagus salad (perfection), and an entree each. My husband thought the lamb was tender and delicious. My roasted chicken was cooked perfectly and was paired with tangy warm potato salad. Service was prompt and our drink glasses never went empty. Would definitely return. Only disappointment was not having enough room for dessert 😉
