Amazing food and unique drink menu. The atmosphere was quaint and the service made the dinner even better. A great place for couples or a special night out.
When we walked in and heard the very loud noise at the bar, we were tempted to leave. I am glad we stayed. We asked for the quietest table and were accommodated. The Sticky Ribs appetizer was fantastic as were the grilled chicken and the arugula salad. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. An excellent meal!
New Owners Have Ruined Modis. Horrible customer service on New Years Eve. I wrote a post on their Face Book website which they removed within a few minutes. Here is what happened. I live in Denver and have a place in Breckenridge. We have been going to Modis for the last 4 years and have always enjoyed it. I made NYE reservations for 6 in September and since I know the layout, specifically requested a table upstairs in the front section Away from the back and the bathrooms. In early December I was there with my wife, son and his girlfriend and asked the hostess Nichole (?) to confirm the reservation and table location, which she did. When we showed up we were led to the Worst table in the back NEXT TO THE RESTROOMS I explained to the hostess this was wrong and to get us the table we reserved and confirmed. A short time later Terrine (?) showed up and told me there were no other tables available and it was that one or none. I explained the situation and that I had been there many many times and was a part time local etc., and that had spent 1000s of dollars there. I was told that I had a bad attitude and that she did not appreciate me yelling at the hostess which NEVER happened. The others in my party were appalled and could not believe her attitude. I asked to speak with the manager and she told me she was the owner! I could not believe she acted like that to a long term loyal customer. We had no other choice but to accept her offer of a round of drinks and A desert if we sat at the restroom table since there was nowhere else to go. After we sat down within 10 minutes a table in the front opened up and then another one 15 minutes later. All she had to do was ask us to wait a few minutes for a table to open which we would have gladly done. As long as she is the owner I will never go back and highly recommend that you go to Hearthstone Restaurant instead.
Amazing food and even better drinks. Great atmosphere with good service. Can’t go wrong with this place.
