My husband and I are on our honeymoon in Breckenridge, so we’ve been indulging a little more than normal. We were still hesitant to spend the money to go to Swiss Haven (menu appeared to be $30 per person for a bare bones meal) until they advertised a three course special for $29 a person on Monday evening. Neither of us had ever done a whole meal at a fondue restaurant before so we were glad to have the full experience for a reasonable price. The appetizer our server recommended was very good (the first listed on the menu–I believe it had a German name which I don’t remember); the main course of cheese and meat seemed a little skimpy (a restaurant run by Europeans is bound to serve smaller portions than we obese Americans are used to, though!). The milk chocolate fondue dessert was delicious, as you would expect. I don’t typically pay close attention to service, but you can’t ignore the fact that the staff here is very friendly and want to make you feel welcome. The staff we met included a mixture of Europeans and Americans. I was glad for the opportunity to practice my French with the European staff! Overall, I would recommend the Swiss Haven, but would encourage you to try for one of these Monday night specials if you have any financial constraints, whatsoever!

Great food and amazing hospitality. The owners are friendly and genuinely care about their customers needs. The food (and fondu) is tasty and fresh. Well seasoned and expertly prepared.

Amazing. Don’t be in a hurry. You’ll want to savor every bite.

What a delicious cheese fondue. We had the peak 8 with a side of roesti, kirchwasser for dipping the bread, bauernteller for the Swiss style cold cuts. A nice bottle of fendant (Swiss white wine) and we felt we were back in Switzerland.

Exquisite. Fondues were expertly blended and served with a generous helping of European charm. Be sure to stay for dessert.
