There are so many great restaurants and bakeries in Breck, there’s simply no reason to waste a meal here. Food is not horrible, just simply subpar compared to so many better places. The patio is great though – perhaps a morning coffee would be the way to go.
Gonna start off by saying.. Don’t listen to Rick R. Guy doesnt know what he’s talking about. The crown is a very pleasant quiet place where you can go have a cappuccino and read a book without being bothered about buying more. The service is excellent when they’re not busy (Mostly because they only have two employees working at a time) the atmosphere is great and everyone is nice, even the snowboarders. Great ice cream, sandwiches, full bar (including wine), coffee, Etc. The place is awesome, one of the most chill relaxed places in breck plus free wifi. So take the word of a real local and not some Radom guy hating on a local hot spot. The place is the jam=)
While the name conjurs up images of a dark pub with bad food, don’t let that stop you. This is first coffee shop-like place I’ve visited in Breck that I enjoyed. You can order and eat your food without constantly being in someone’s way. The noise level is lower than avg and the seating area is comfortable. The food (can’t forget the food) is better than avg, including various lasagnas and quiches. Very good tiramisu and good decaf for those who have a hard time finding that elusive elixir.

Used to be good. Used to have unique ice cream. Now it’s Dreyers. Used to have fresh pastries and desserts. Now they are stale. Used to have a good atmosphere. Now it’s snowboarders who work there and treat everyone like crap.
