What you’d expect! Good ol’ fashioned pub food served in a friendly town atmosphere surrounded by locals. Large menu means you name it, they got it. Great spot before a movie at the Crystal Theatre or Thunder River Theater. Nothing fancy or pretentious – just some good food and good friends!
Excellent Western Ranch Style. Quality local beef! Let me say it again – quality local beef! Soups are hearty. This is the real deal when it comes to putting yourself in an old western cowboy saloon. Great grub, an antique bar and yes a horse drawn wagon – even a cattle drive down Main Street if your lucky! Good desserts too!
Just outside the Aspen/Snowmass ski areas, Pour House is more popular with locals than tourists. The burgers and vegetarian patty are good. They offer a larger than normal variety of burger toppings. The huevos rancheros include pico de gallo made with napa cabbage for a different taste and ground pork chili verde. It’s all nice. As an addded experience, try the Scotch egg appetizer–a hard-boiled egg encrusted first with sausage and then bread crumbs before being deep fried. One sad note: The spicy fries are not spicy and poorly fried, coming to the table blistered. It’s a relaxed place, with lunch much cheaper than dinner.
