BBQ. Decided to try this because it is close to the hotel. It was pretty good. The chicken was fall off the bone tender but I like my sauce with a bit more kick. The potato sale was a bit gloppy and the coleslaw had too much liquid . The raisins were a nice addition.

Great smoke flavor, meat pulled perfect from the bone. Dry rub method of smoking with sauce on side. Plenty of sauce and one rack of ribs fed entire family of four with four ribs left over! They use spare ribs so more meat and bigger bones. Great service friendly staff. I’ll be back to test the tritip and brisket.

Great. Barbecue @ Burgers. We saw this restaurant was nearby our motel and, being from Texas, we are fans of barbecue. We were not disappointed. I had a Bar B Que Cheeseburger and my lovely traveling companion ordered a brisket sandwich. As is our custom, we split the sandwiches and shared, so I got to sample both. They were delicious, served with the owner’s secret recipe sauce. I can wholeheartedly recommend Old West Bar B Que anytime you’re near Castle Rock. It’s right next to an I-25 exit and you’ll eat well for not much money. In the morning, we are going back to try their breakfast burritos.

Nice local place for some good Texas style BBQ. Kids liked it too. Reasonable priced. Nice staff as well.
