Order take out or delivery Specialty pizzas!!!. Stumpy’s in Castle Rock wins best local pizza spot in my mind because its 18 inch pizza has a great stone oven flavor, real cheese, not too heavy crust and heavenly sauce. (Any smaller and the pizza gets a little too thick and loses a bit of that New York style flavor). Stumpy’s chicken and jalapeno pizza is so delicious you really must try it. All of the specialty pizzas have great flavor and fresh herbs! Do yourself a favor if you live in Castle Rock have a pizza delivered from Stumpys!Note: If you are looking for atmosphere Stumpy’s will disappoint but their pizza pies will not! My vote is take Stumpy’s home for the best!!
Stumpy’s is by far the best pizza in Castle Rock. It is text book New York pizza. Judging by some of the reviews sone people don’t know what New York style pizza is….. Thin, so you can fold it, light on sauce (probably so it doesn’t squeeze out when you eat it), and the crust is charred since it isn’t cooked on a pan at all. We have ordered from Stumpy’s about 10 times since we moved 1 year ago and we have had zero problems with our orders. We also appreciate that they deliver all the way out to Castlewood Ranch! It may take awhile to get here, but their time estimates are always accurate and it’s worth the wait.
Seriously?. We read some ratings and reviews of this place and wanted to give it a shot. Ordered their largest with pepperoni on all and ham on 1/2, as well as asked for a menu for future reference. To my surprise, they actually delivered! Pizza arrived, gave a nice tip… no menu and the guy didn’t have any in the car! Looked at the pie, 1/2 pepp and 1/2 ham (not what we ordered) and there were barely enough of the toppings to get some every other bite! This was a $20 pie! I know the economy’s hitting everyone, but there was hardly any sauce either… Flavor of the pie was ok, but left a funny taste in my mouth.This is a first time experience, so maybe it was a fluke??I hope so, but will be hard-pressed to give it another shot.

The best pizza I’ve found in Colorado besides maybe a place in Fraiser. If you’re from the northeast, you’ll love this place.
