When my best friend took me there for my birthday, I was very happy to find that they have my favorite fish on the Chinese menu. We ordered the scallion pancakes, pig stomach with pickled vegetable soup, seafood double pan fried noodles and a steamed pomfret. The Taiwanese food was awesome and the owners were very friendly. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered pig stomach soup anywhere else and much to our surprise, my friend’s American born girls loved the soup too! Definitely a place I’ll return to.
Great Chinese!. This is the best place in the country for Chinese food!! I travel a lot and I can never find anything even close to China Taipei. The staff is friendly, service is amazing, and the food is to die for! The egg rolls are unbelievably good! I’ve been going here for all my life (literally, I came here with my family when I was 3 days old) and I have never had a bad meal. Really, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. I usually order kung pao chicken or sweet and sour chicken with hot and sour soup. There appetizers are also great, which I always order wontons, egg rolls, and steamed dumplings.
China Taipei. I ordered the General Tao’s Chicken. It was listed as Spicy, but it was very bland. My wife ordered the Sesame Chicken. Her chicken was fried hard and sesame was sprinkled over the chicken. Neither one of us finished our diner. We will not go here again and recommend that you pass this one by.
China Taipei. We are very reluctant to leave a bad review after having eaten here since 1989. For years the food was fine. But suddenly as the price went up the quality of the food has gone down quite a bit. Last night we ordered mongolian chicken. Not was the dish overly greasy, but the chicken was heavily breaded. It was more like eating flour dumplngs with an occasional tiny piece of chicken. My wife orderd chicken broccoli which was so oily as well. The broccoli was not fresh, and was over cooked. My wife is Chinese and we both have lived in china, Korea, and California. The food was so bad we didn’t finish, we just paid the bill and left. This has been the pattern over the years, meals having less and less quality, while price goes thru the roof. We will never return. And yes we ordered from the Chinese menu
Unexpected Quality. I walked past this restaurant several times thinking it was not worth a visit until I needed a place to go on short notice. I was surprised to find good quality food and friendly service in an unexpected place. There’s plenty of variety including a few Vietnamese and Thai dishes. I stuck to the traditional Chinese selections and found them to be much better than is usually found in the Denver area at very reasonable prices. They also offer delivery service within a 10-mile radius and I intend to try that soon.
