An old chinese eatery located right across Arapahoe and south havana crossing. The decor and ambience looks old but is good. Food quality is degrading but you can have the regular ones without any problem. Fried rice, lo mein or chicken sichuan is good.

To start with we have been going to Hoongs since in opened.Up until recently, the food has been good and fair priced. Services has always been marginal. Recently we have experienced a major decline in food quality. A recent chicken dish tasted old and tuff.The manager, a woman, is horrific. She has less than none customer skills and no interest how your meal was.There are many good to great restruants who want your business and treat you well. Hoongs is not one of them.Today we had our very last meal at Hoongs and it was terrible.
This is the best Chinese restaurant. I have been coming to this place since it opened. The food is excellent. The wait staff is not rude but it may be they don’t understand. I am hard to please with good food and I am never disappointed here. Try the beef chow fun, shrimp with garlic sauce,twice cooked pork. Everything is good.
2:15 pm on 6/28/14 The service is appalling at this restaurant. I waited for 20 minutes and they didn’t even bother to come by to take my order… will never be coming back to this restaurant again. FYI- the waitress Penny has a very bad attitude and is very rude.
Poor Service. This is the 2nd — and last time — we have taken a group of 8 for dinner. Food is good, but service is poor. Orders incorrect, bar order was not complete. Servers speaks so soft you can’t understand them or hear them. It’s unfortunate because we enjoy the food and the quiet atmosphere.
I’ve been coming to Hoongs Palace for about 10 years now and it’s still my favorite. The food is fresh and it’s not greasy and loaded down with salt and MSG. On the whole, the staff is very friendly, but occasionally, they get busy and I can see how that may come across as rude. They are fast and very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Especially their lunch portions! Love this place!!
