Unbelivable. I stopped in with my wife for a glass of wine and some appetizers. The restaurant was mostly empty except for a few folks at the bar. In the past the atmosphere was lovely, not today. The drunk guys at the bar were yelling multiple f bombs and the manager chef decided to join them at the bar, turn off the music and turn up the Broncos game. It was not what I expected and I will not be back.
A great fun place. Really great food! We eat there on occasion, and have never had a bad meal. They are always creative, delicious, and great staff. Owner Jimmy is a funny man!
One of the best south of town. An ambitious menu that may deliver. Hmm. In the burbs? I had the crab avocado tower that was value for money, if just a tad under seasoned. Then the beef wellingtons. Both nice. Both would be ordered again. Kids had risotto and rib eye. Both good. Also had a seafood pasta that was full of seafood and well flavored. Good place. The wine list has lovely gems at good price points. Not as busy as you want on a Friday night, but . . . This is the burbs. Go to this place so it stays here, in our burbs.
Jimmy Lambados’ and staff at Ivy are FAB!. Took my mother here for her 75th birthday. We were seated in the area by the large fireplace, and were served by one of Denver area’s best waiter’s, Scott. There are so few great waiters left I have to mention him. (We also love Ramon at Wooden Table). Scott sold us on the special of the day; a fabulous pan-seared salmon served with a lemon butter sauce, crisp fresh vegetables over rice. Both my mom and I could not stop gushing about how amazing the spices and sauce complemented the salmon, and the presentation was gorgeous. We had been into Ivy once before, and I think we hit an off day. Our waitress that day forgot about us, and brought our food late to where it was cool, and the flavors were not fresh. When I let a local restaurant critic know about our less than great experience, Jimmy Lambados personally called me and offered to make it right. He sent me a gift certificate for the price of my meal, and asked forgiveness for my bad lunch. I am so very glad he did. When we were in today, he visited our table just to wish my mom a happy birthday, and then I told him how grateful I was for the second look at Ivy, and for the great service he and his staff had given us this time around. I will happily recommend Ivy to anyone I know. A real gem of a restaurant lies hidden inside the Streets of Southglenn. Go check it out!
Ivy at the glen. Great food, slightly high prices, great service, beautiful atmosphere. was there on 12/12/12, our party had tuna, tenderloin, scallops. all were enjoyed. good for special occassions.
Love it!. So lucky to have fine dining in my neighborhood, and it’s not crazy expensive. Jimmy, one of the owners, makes you feel like you’re visiting your favorite relative’s home … the relative that cooks like there’s nobody’s business. I used Jimmy and Footers Catering for my wedding, and people are still talking about the food. It’s a beautiful restaurant, the food is incredible, my husband had the lamb chops I had the halibut. Will be a regular I guarantee that!
Worst Restaurant. My family and I frequent many restaurants. This is by far the worst………Ever. The service was horrible, the food was old and under cooked. We went for Sunday Brunch and none of us could eat the food. The potatoes were spongy and the drinks were watered down. The egg smelled nasty. The only reason we went here was because the wait for Snooze was over an hour. Big Mistake. There was no one in there and we are not surprised. If they don’t improve their cooking, I bet they’ll be out of business in less than 6 month. Great location and design but horrible food.
