Bad meat. Use to frequent this place, but the quality has steadily declined over the years. The brisket is smoked in house but then they nuke it when you order a sandwich. The buns are either wet or stale. I returned a half chewed brisket sandwich for a refund because the meat was tough and hard to chew.
The Best!!. Folks rave about Brothers, Yazoo’s(really?), Moe’s…BUT, Winston Hills BBQ is on point! Best in town! Been going there since the first restaurant on 8th & Colo Blvd in the 70s!!
Just eat the Ribs and links and you will be very pleased!!17 Apr, 2011I’ve eaten here for a decade. When I want ribs, this is the place I think of unless I want to go to the nortern parts of town. The links are good as is the brisket. But this a RIB takeout place. I love their sauce. The sides are an after thought here. But The ribs are a delight. But take them home and eat with your own sides. Sometimes I just have ribs only. Did I mention this is a Rib joint?!?!
Great ribs – meat flavor excellent- properly smoked. Smokey but not too much. Best ribs I’ve had in the Denver area, and in my top five best ribs i’ve had (and I eat a LOT of BBQ). Brisket also very good. A little dry, but sliced very thin and quite tasty. Potato salad good but unremarkable, excellent Cole slaw – not all runny. Great beans. The kids wolfed the beans right down, and they don’t normally like beans. The only thing I didn’t care for was the sauce – too sweet for me. But my wife loved it. And it didn’t matter to me because the flavor of the meat was so good. Highly recommended.
