Beautiful simplicity. This dive does not look like much from the inside or out. The ingredient line is short. But forget preconceptions; Yuan Palace is a huge crowd-pleaser.Service was superior and the people are friendly, jovial and smiling–this is a pleasant surprise in a cramped, inexpensive Asian restaurant (all-you-can-eat is generous for the price). They anticipated everything with our group of 12 and never missed a beat.People come for the grill, of course, but they take plenty of time with the soups, as well. First time in a good while I have had a hot and sour soup that was properly, well…hot and sour. I ate veggie with the tofu on the grill, but expensive lamb has got to be a big pull on the short line for the price. Sauces were simple but well-executed. Grill chefs were fast and efficient. Bread and rice never stopped coming at the table, and the combination limited my stomach to a single bowl.It has been forever since I ate this well while on vacation, and Yuan Palace was a fitting capstone.

Quick, cheap, and yum. I agree, this place is great. I love that they have tofu as an option for the BBQ! However if you find it hard to overlook some dinginess and so-so service for a cheap, hearty meal, this probably isn’t the place for you.
I love this place. Been going there since I was in grade school, still stop by almost every time I visit my parents home nearby. Friendly staff. Load your bowl high and fine be afraid of the spices are the end, if you like it hot, load it up! 5 star place at a 2 star price for the lunch bbq!
Great place, good service, and yes don’t be afraid to add spice.
