The New York strip was ok, but not great quality. It was cooked correctly, though. The sides were a train wreck. The corn was bathed in pepper. I like pepper but it was ridiculous. The scalloped potatoes were bathed in salt. I guess to balance out the over peppered corn? All in all the dish cost $27 but seemed like it was prepared by a under-trained or amateur kitchen crew.
Good food, service needs work. Food is about 25% overpriced – not really a surprise for a hotel restaurant. Service was bad to average. I never received the straw I asked for or the side of mayonnaise I ordered with my fries. The waitress seemed to be flustered/annoyed that I was asking her for specifics about the grilled cheese sandwich. The food, however, was very good. Everyone at the table was amazed at the quality. Great pastrami sandwich, great spicy chicken wrap, great fish and chips. The quality of the food saved an otherwise very mediocre experience. thedivereview.com
Although the name sounds fancy, the people and atmosphere are friendly. A good all-around menu with quality food, from the fish and chips to the French onion soup to the burger. The staff is very professional and you walk out with a full belly and an overall good feeling about the place. I will br back again and again.
