Meh. Ample portions, not expensive, but unimaginative Tex/Mex food. There are SO many other better Mexican cuisine eateries in this town. But if you want to have some cervesas and just be full for a reasonable price, have at it!
While the steak burrito was good the place is I never great need of refurbishing. Outside it’s looking very rundown and in need of paint. Inside it’s getting to have a “dirty” appearance. A few hundred dollars, some paint a d TLC would help.
I used to love this place and couldn’t get enough of it when I was pregnant but went back recently and was less than impressed. Maybe it’s me and my taste buds have changed but I thought the food was just okay.
You wouldn’t think a Mexican restaurant named Benny’s would have authentic Mexican food but they do not disappoint. Everything on their menu is wonderful and the service is great. Probably have the best Marquita’s.
