Breakfast at Edge. The menu has various intriguing items, and the quality and ambiance are as you would expect for a restaurant starched to a Four Seasons hotel. That said, the prices are excessive by a few bucks a plate–and especially so for the breakfast side dishes. I expect an up-charge at a hotel restaurant, but it doesn’t necessarily make it any more palatable. I had the baked brioche French toast, which had caramelized pears, cranberries and walnuts scattered on the plate, and a vanilla custard and caramel sauce. It was truly delicious, with the French toast nicely soaked and cooked without being too soggy, too eggy, or too cooked. The sauces really brought it all together. For the price charged a couple of strips of bacon would make it seem well worth it and would have finished the plate nicely, but alone the meal just wasn’t good enough to justify the price sought.
Went here for Brewery Brunch, where they serve bottomless Great Divide beer (beers are on a rotating basis). I wasn’t sure I could find something vegetarian, but there were a few options. Food and beer were delicious; the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars rather than 5 is that I thought it was a bit pricey. But I recommend giving it a try! coloradobeergirl.com
We came here on a Sunday looking for a good steak, because Guard and Grace was closed and had already been to Elway’s and wanted to try something different. The house red wine was excellent, as were the vegetable sides (crispy brussel sprouts and the English Bubble and Squeak). The blueberry and kale salad was average. The steak (10 oz NY strip) was a real disappointment. It had no grill marks or smoke flavor (as the waited described) and medium rare was brown throughout with only a hint of pink – in my opinion overdone). It looked pan-fried, although the waiter insisted it was not. My colleague has a filet, which he thought was good. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was really nice, but you come here for steak and it was not worth a return trip. By the way, my colleague had a strip steak at Oceanaire across the street the night before and said it was one of the best he has had.
As a Foodie I expected a little more from a name-brand like Four Seasons. The portions were large and tasted fine and the quality was fine. I had the crab wrap, that based on the description I expected to hold a surprise or peak my taste-buds. It was noce, but not inspiring.
Edge is sophisticated and has great food. Nice place to have a gathering with friends because its not overly crowded. Have fun
Amazing Service & Incredible Food. I would 100% recommend this restaurant! Visiting from Miami, my friend and I just happened upon Edge and decided to give it a try. From the foie gras, bleu cheese salad, to the filet and mac and cheese the food was absolutely amazing. Great wine/drink selection as well. The service was even better. Our waiter was so attentive and also provided great recommendations. My friend mentioned that I was recently engaged and they provided a free celebration cake (the peanut butter crunch cake), which was divine! Next time I am in Denver I will be back at Edge!
