With Watson and I venturing forth to the inner canyon walls of Downtown Denver ON the 4th (of July mind you), with Inspector Pietro in tow…… we discovered that while MANY OF the dining establishments were shuttered for the day….. this bastion was open and ready, with our small group all the more delighted that it was!Range, with its very healthy dosage of range oriented fare, is an atmospheric gem with many checkmarks in the plus column.Custom libations (the Golden Barrel Negroni with Boulder Ginskey Aged Gin was nearly dizzying), an excellent menu with a focus on protein oriented listings, also has several grazing and swimming choices….. which Watson is only too fond of ordering. When in Rome however, its only apropos to venture towards such gaming fare and one of their specialties, Smoked Bison Ribs, (not Buffalo but Bison, there is a difference gastronomes) was called for.Bleached white bones remaining, the plate nearly spotless, indicated the satiation both the Inspector and I experienced .With our investigation concluded, and a legitimate positive experience ranked, our judgement is firmly towards the for deliciousness go to column. thesherlockholmesreviews.com
I was drawn to this location because of the live jazz music in the lounge area. We liked the large, traditional American cuisine selection on the menu.Pros: Traditional but large selection of American cuisine on the menu, service was great, ambiance reflected fine dining but many patrons were dressed casually, main entrees were priced under $30.Cons: bathroom was in some obscure area and I got lost just trying to find it.. but once you get there, it is a rewarding feeling – luxurious (like a 5 star hotel bathroom).Back to the food.. I had the Skuna Bay Salmon which was delicious with the chile honey glaze and asparagus quinoa. Very tasty, healthy and well presented.
We often stop here to celebrate work functions; be it happy hour, holidays or birthdays. They have great food – upscale bistro style, with weird, flavorful things on the menu. In January 2016 they came out with a new menu. I tried the black bean enchilada (jalapeo hot) while my co-workers ate the Cuban sandwich with 1/2 and 1/2 soup (half tomato/half potato – really cool how they did this), along with the tuna salad and full sized burgers. All of their food is really good and they have a great beer/cocktail selection. Final bill can add up quickly as good bistro comes with a price. cinfullysimple.com
This restaurant is in the nice Renaissance hotel, but runs one of the best happy hours in town. They make good cocktails and make an effort to have a good variety of local beers on tap. Pretty swank.
I came here yesterday for happy hour with a few coworkers. I ordered the Duck Confit Quesadilla, and let me tell you: I wish I knew how to prepare duck confit, because I now want it in every quesadilla from now on. Their specialty cocktails were also very tasty. Their D’Agave old fashioned was spicy, sweet, and interesting. I wasn’t a huge fan of the honeycomb muddled into it, but it did add a nice flavor, just not such a great texture. I will certainly stroll in for another happy hour sometime soon.
