A fair review. My husband and I visiting from out of town went to Cuckoos off a recommendation from a local. We were told the wings were excellent but the service is not great. I love a good wing joint so we gave it a try. The atmosphere was great. I don’t understand people complaining about all the TV’s with sports playing…it’s a beer and wing joint!! Very relaxed sports bar type atmosphere. We had no problem with the service. It’s not top notch but the waiter was friendly and had good recommendations. We waited a reasonable amount of time for our food and enjoyed some great local beer while we waited. The food was EXCELLENT. The best tasting wings I have ever had. True, they are all the breaded variety but they are crispy, juicy, meaty wings and the flavor is unbeatable. We ordered two full pounds of wings and three beers and our bill was just about $40. Overall a good experience for us. I will definitely be returning on our next visit.
Service is horrible and the prices are very high. The last two times we have been here we leave saying we will never go back! It is, i took some out of town guests here and waited over an hour and when the bill came it was outrageous for wings and salad for three people $80. I was so embaressed by my choice of restaurant.
Worst wing experience in Durango!!. This place only has breaded wings. They are terrible. The service is so slow – how long can it really take to fry up a few wings?? We waited over an hour after seated to get our wings. This is common here. Also the food here is very over priced. Never again for me….
Boiled down: Food A-. Atmosphere A+. Service F. Takes to long and service will ruin your day. Avoid this place unless you are retired and have time to waste on average food.
The atmosphere was welcoming, however the lemonade was not. It was hard to focus on the cornucopia of chicken choices with 8 big screen t.v.s showing different sports networks. The service was mediocre, but the peach habanero was atrocious. The meal was saved by the chicken strip dinner. It was clear that the strips were fesh, they could have beenseasoned up a bit, but that it what the dipping sauce was for. Overall Cuckoos Chicken House was sub par, but perfect for the average college student.
