Wow. We have eaten our way through Durango over the past 3 days and have found the best restaurant in town. The name says it all, excellent Asian food with an American twist. Try the small plates gyoza and beef but definitely get the noodles. We had the port-broth Roman and it was enough for both of us. I give a shout out to Loren, our server, who explained the menu and was present, but not intrusive

Average. I have been to this restaurant multiple times in the last few years. This time the place was just not up to par.
Perfect sushi and the gentlemen working at the sushi bar are so nice and have no problem answering any questions you have. Order the lobster tempera you will not regret it!
This is the best place for sushi!. What on earth?? I have seen some of the silly reviews about East By Southwest! I spent years in Asia, and major metropolitan cities…and this restaurant is way up there! They are busy…but…if a restaurant is not busy, it makes me wonder why…I have had great service there..especially with Dave…and the food…the dishes, and the food is comparable to Nobu (and at 10x the price). Sergio (the owner) is innovative with his cuisine, and bar none to anything else in this area. Yes they are pricey…but it is well worth it! Their fish is fresh! Their Thai is great too! If you went to a great restaurant in LA or NY, you’d get mediocre service, pay a fortune…but deal…I look forward to everytime I eat there! Bravo E By SW! I love you….and..I’m ridiculously picky!
This place is goood!. While attending Fort Lewis College in Durango for the last four years, my absolute favorite place to eat was East By Southwest! Best Happy Hour, California rolls, mojitos, and atmosphere in town! Not to mention Chef Sergio is a great host and is always providing delish dishes. I just recently returned from a trip to Japan where I experienced authentic seafood and sushi where it’s done right! I can genuinely say that East By Southwest is right up there, providing great quality foods in a beautiful and unique setting right in the heart of Durango!
