My favorite!. My favorite place to eat in town!
Best mexican food around.. I live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and the first thing I do when I go back to Durango is head straight to Griego’s and buy 10 soft tacos <3
Has gone so far DOWNHILL. I have eaten at Greigo’s for over 30 years (including the old Taco House at 14th Street) and it used to be without a doubt the best mexican food anywhere. Our family ate dinner there 3-5 times a week for many years and it was awesome quality at a good price. However, over the last few years, this has changed drastically! The younger generation has simply gotten too greedy!!! They continue to raise they prices, lessen the portions and worst of all most of them aren’t even pleasant to the customers. The food quality had dropped to barely edible.
Disappointing lunch. Very bland flavors in the beans, meat, and green chile. Tortillas were not good either. Crunchy taco was soggy. Friend had the posole and found it very bland as well.
Griego’s green chile. I’m quite disappointed to see such negative reviews of Griego’s North Main. I have grown up in Durango and often get cravings for their combi-burrito plate, smothered in the house made spicy green chile sauce. They are a family owned establishment, multi generations can be seen working any night of the week. A very popular spot with the high school lunch crowd.
Worst restaurant ever. I’ve been to 10 countries and 26 states and this is by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever had the displeasure of eating at. The place was dirty. The service was terrible. And what were supposed to be enchiladas were unintelligible lumps of half melted cheese and luke warm tortillas mixed with luke warm pinto beans out of a can.If you want crappy food, eat here. This place is TERRIBLE.
Worst restaurant in Colorado – easily. Seeing no soap in the men’s bathroom should have been my first sign. The lack of Mexican staff should have been my second. Plates of food my brother and I had were both soupy flavorless distgusting heaps of glop probably scouped out of a can. My already slightly queasy brother was at least able to make it out to the parking lot before he was relieved of his burden. A trip to the neighboring Dairy Queen was the nearest antidote.
