This is our new favorite breakfast spot in Durango. We were devout Durango Diner fans until last weekend when we ate at Oscar’s twice.The first morning I had the Mex Brex (a golden hashbrown pancake with green chilies, cheeses, crowned with two eggs, salsa, and sour cream. toast or tortilla). Of course I got the tortilla! The hashbrowns were absolutely delicious and I’m hoping to replicate them at home.Ryan got the Farmer’s Breakfast which came with pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns and both sausage and bacon. He was in breakfast heaven.We went back the next morning and I got the Durango Scramble which came with half an avocado. Ryan got the French Toast.Each morning we sat at the counter where we had a front row seat to staff interaction. I’ve never seen a crew that seems to like one another so much! It was super nice and I think this is partially why this place has such a great ambiance.We will most definitely be back. heiditown.com
Breakfast until 11am. Good lunch, huge portions quick service. Portions so big my husband and I shared 1 meal. Would recommend
Mixed feelings about this place. It is a diner style joint with friendly staff and good service. My husband loved the chili verde and would love to come back. However for me, there is only 1 vegetarian option, the veggie omelet. The cheese is the stringy cheap stuff and hash browns are greasy. Certainly not a healthy place for breakfast. But if you like a down-home style breakfast, this is a good option.
Great food, cheap and the portions are huge so for those of you with smaller stomachs you can share. The Mex Brex is amazing!!
Just OK. Given the popularity of organic and healthy food, especially in Durango…this place falls short. I am a vegetarian and the only thing I can eat here is the veggie omelet. I wish there were more healthy and flavorful vegetarian options.
Great food. Was disappointed for 10 seconds when I thought we missed breakfast, but they have a bunch of items on the lunch menu I would definitely put in the breakfast/brunch category. Had an egg/sausage breakfast burrito with Green Chile. It was delicious! Lots of food too! Took half of it home.
