I have mixed feelings but, in general, the food and service was good. A little uppity especially given the jeans most customers were wearing, but the wine and beer suggestions were good. Cheese and charcuterie also good. Watercress soup probably the highlight of the meal, but the steak and walleye only serviceable. Probably not worth the money…
Heartburn.. They had oysters on the half shell, one of my favorites, but the price I wasn’t made aware was $22 for six. They were good, but I think I would have held them in my mouth longer if I knew how much each one of them cost. I had the WINTER VEGETABLE RISOTTO leeks, root vegetables, grilled radicchio, balsamico 22…add pancetta…3, which about 1/4th of it was tasty, then the rather large pieces of radicchios tasted bitter and the whole thing gave me heartburn with all the garlic that was in it. It would have been great as a side dish, but not as the main entree. The oysters and the entree were the same price. The blood orange tartlet with suggested wine was excellent. Dinner for one, $79 with tip. Definitely, not worth the price, specially when I am still paying the price of continued heartburn long after the meal.
Last night after a grueling drive south from Glenwood Springs, CO we were hungry and tired. Upon entering Seasons Restaurant, Durango, CO just after 5pm we were greeted with smiles and warmness. The espresso martini and wine was delicious. We had the Kobe steak and frites. It was perfectly cooked and scrumptious. This restaurant was very enjoyable. Thanks for reading, The Bike Chaplain
Excellent. We dropped in on a very busy weekend without reservations, and were seated on their back patio as there were no open tables inside. However, as the weather was perfect, it turned out this was one of the best tables in the house, at lest that night. The food and service were excellent. Would certainly go back and do recommend it. A truly qualilty restaurant.
Best in Durango. Walked in after 7pm on a Thursday night without a reservation. We were seated after a brief (time to order/consume one drink) sit at the bar. Wine list very impressive. Intelligent pairings suggested on menu. Service outstanding and attentive . Did not have to ask for a single thing. Seasonal items were featured and limited items were announced. Fine dining does not get much better.
Seasoning Required. No problem with the food at Seaons. Most would agree. Not gourmet, but ranks near the top in this tourist town. Problem is the service, or lack of it. Rude, careless, inefficient. Like they are doing you a favor to wait on you. I try to remember who is paying who to do what. Which is why I take my business elsewhere. If your idea of fine dining doesn’t require equally fine service, help yourself
Outstanding food. Best of Durango hands down. Eaten here 50+ times in 10 years and never had a bad meal. Food would be hard to duplicate at home. Center cut sirloin with garlic mashers is a sure thing.
