OK Barbeque, will skip the slaw though… Our absolute favorites are Pierce’s Bar-B-Que in Williamsburg, VA, Lexington Bar-B-Que in Lexington, NC, and Parker’s in Wilson, NC. This one is OK. Ordered the Pork Loin (nice/lean slices) with pineapple jalapeno salsa on the side (very small amount, hardly a taste) and the Signature Pulled Pork with cherry chipotle salsa (small amount, hardly can taste). We liked the variety on the menu and if we were staying in Durango longer, would try some of the different combos and definitely the Nightly Specials. Priced at $6.50 for a sandwich was ok, there was a good portion of meat. You can get a bag of chips for $1, cole slaw is $2 extra and neither of us liked the flavor of it with whatever spice (cayenne maybe?) was mixed in. So although we liked the sandwiches, the small sides were a waste of $$. The Texas Bar-B-Que sauce was thin, without much flavor, I drenched the Pork Loin (a little dry) in it to juicy it up. Should have asked for extra salsa instead of the cole slaw.

Had the Brisket and the pulled pork sandwich – both very tasty and big. I lived in Texas for 32 years and this place is better than the average Tex BBQ place.

Being from Texas, we were not sure what this place would be like. But, our rafting tour guides got us some Texas Tacos for our lunch break and they were amazing! Hearty and very tasty! We definitely recommend l!

Some sweet tea and a Texas Taco is definitely the way to go… Has the Durango charm and the Texas taste everyone wants.

Love that TExaS TaCo!. Love the texas taco with some sweet tea. I like going to the Texas BBQ next to the Harley Dealership on Camino Del Rio. During good weather you can sit outside and see the Animas River. The ribs are good as are the sausages.

Texas Taco. OMG so good!!!!!!25 Jan, 2011Good BBQ, wonderful aesthetic. Nice simple menu with good smoked meats. The Texas Taco is a must, and they’re cheaper on Fridays 😉 I love this place for the decoration and consistent mouth-watering food. It’s serious business.

Excellent BBQ. Not the best in the world, but for Colorado, it is pretty good. They obviously bank on the Texas tourists coming in for home cooking, but it is a great place for a nice southern meal.
