Brewpub that was highly recommended by locals to us travelers. Plan ahead if you eat here on the weekends— looooong wait times for a table. We had the gyro and the French dip. Both were good, nothing to call home about– but it’s also kind of hard to screw up those two items! After seeing other tables order the Cajun Boil, we wish we had tried that because it looked amazing! (Boiled lobster, potatoes, shrimp, sausage, and corn cob that they dump on your table and eat family style.) Our waitress was friendly and attentive.
Despite all the amazing restaurants in Durango, we ALWAYS come back here when we’re in town. The BEST burgers around and the nicest staff. We like to sit at the bar and try any new beers on tap since our last visit.This is a brewery that sincerely cares about putting out great food alongside their great beer. The owners opened El Moro Tavern & Spirits a year or two ago and it’s delicious too.Steamworks’ Rico Burger is my husband’s favorite, but you won’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Another Brew Pub?This is another Durango restaurant that has a vaguely western/brewpub atmosphere.Servers are nice but a bit vacant. Our appetizer was completely forgotten.Food was all OK but nothing truly stood out. The trout entre was probably the best item and the Kale/Caesar salad was very good. The rest was somewhat forgettable.
Great food! This is a must stop place when ever I make it to this part of the state. You will come for the beer and leave talking about the food!
My favorite restaurant! It’s local and the staff are friendly and the food is great. They make they’re own beer and root beer which are really good. And the fries are absolutely delicious!!!! I recommend it to any tourists to Durango.
Great beer & delicious food!. Went to Steamworks while visiting Durango. I had the Cajun pasta and my husband had the green Apple Gouda burger. Both were fantastic, but we agreed the pasta won. For beers, we had the Ale Diablo, Slam Dunkel, and Kolsh. Waiter was helpful and fun. Highly recommended!
Aged Barley Wine is amazing!02 Jul, 2014Fantastic! Stopped in for beer a few days ago. Got great help at the bar and left with 2 jugs. Returned for dinner and scored with Cajun Penne Pasta, Mac and Cheese, and Beer Bread of the artichoke dip. Yum!!
