Incredible food! The owner is out and about with the guests and checked with every guest to make sure they loved their pizza. We will absolutely be back. This is a cant miss in Estes Park!
I just found a new favorite in Estes. I’ve always been eating pizza from Sweet Basilico (which is good) but they are closed on Mondays so I decided to try a new pizza joint. Antonio’s makes some delicious pizza and cannoli that is reasonably priced and full of flavor. Greasy pizza is a deal-breaker for me so I was happy to see zero grease and crispy crust. The location is off of the main strip (which makes me happy) but the seating is very limited and not very inviting (who cares? I ordered mine to-go).Be careful with any of the reviews and ratings you read on Estes Park restaurants. There is serious competition going on between a lot of the restaurants here and a pretty obvious smear campaigns.
I have had pizza of a lot of different styles and at a lot of different places. I may not know what New York pizza is supposed to be like but i certainly know good pizza when i have it. These guys make their own dough, their own sauce and even their own cheese! This is a this crust pizza but not soggy at all. I was quite impressed with everything.
Visiting from out of town. Thought we would try the pizza. It was really good. Small dining room but options to carry out to keep in mind for the future when we come back to visit Estes.
If you know what New York Pizza is, go here.. I have read reviews on all the pizzerias in Estes Park and have found that each has it lovers and haters. If you know pizza, the smell is the first sign it’s great when you enter the building. If you don’t smell it, leave. The smell on entering Antonios was right on. The pizza was done ridiculously quick because of the oven and it had a taste you cannot describe. OUTSTANDINGLYDELICIOUS. Again, if you want Midwest pizza or Chicago, don’t go to this place. If you want the stuff we have back in Brooklyn, go here. The calzone is ridiculous, btw. It was the biggest and tastiest I’ve ever seen.
Pass a doubles. Just keep driving on by, that’s what everyone should think once they miss this place the first time. It’s tiny, and the pizza is less than wonderful. There is so much talk and backtalk about the advantages of the wood-fired oven. Tell me how may operations use it west of the Mighty Mississipp (besides Helena, Montana) and turn out a quality product every time? Very few, and this one ain’t it. Mushy, soggy, overcooked, undercooked, crispy on one side, doughy on the other. Great if you like to gamble, but for the price, I’d rather get two pizzas with caramelized onion somewhere like Grand Apple in Texas.
