This was the perfect spot for lunch after a cold day of hiking. We came at an off time (around 3:30) and there was no wait for a table at all. I started with am order of black tea which came in its own adorable tea kettle and stacking cup. The waitress also kept providing me with more hot water throughout the meal. I would definitely recommend ordering the pho. I ordered the pho tai bo vien. They did an excellent job of slicing the meat thin and their choice of cut was very tender. Portions are huge, I had enough leftovers for a second meal. We also decided to split an order of drunken noodles with chicken. The waitress was kind enough to bring us 2 different types of sauces since we preferred different levels of spice. The noodles were cooked nice and al dente and the dish was nice and sweet. Love the decor and ambiance here as well.
They were slammed when we got there, so that might be part of the explanation for poor service. But the service didn’t get better when the crowd thinned out. Seemed like poor organization in this family-run, family-staffed little space. The Vietnamese-style spring rolls were generous and tasty. The various phos were ok. The broth was thin and a little heavy with cloves. Vegetables seemed like an afterthought in the vegetable pho. A plate of add-ins consisted of bean sprouts and blow-your-head-off jalapeos. Thai iced tea ok. Worth going again, but not in my top ten Vietnam/Thai restaurants.
Green Curry with Chicken and Veggie Pho. This is the best place to eat in Estes Park!!! My entire family found a dish they enjoyed. My sons enjoyed the Drunkin noodles, I had the Green Curry. I realy liked the Veggie Pho but the Curry was even better. I can’t wait to be in Estes Park next year to enjoy some of the very best Pho-Thai that I have ever had. Thanks for treating my family like family.
