Apparently they can’t handle the tourist season very well. The service was slow and sloppy. The food was poorly prepared and barely warm. We didn’t even finish the meal and couldn’t wait to leave. Not sure what it might be like outside the tourist season but it’s extremely unlikely we’d try it again.
What a positive experience at Claire’s for a nice intimate dinner for two the other day! A pleasant surprise, some of the best fine dining in Estes Park. We’ve lived in Estes for nearly 20 years and have tired of mediocre food. While Claire’s has been mediocre in the past you must ignore reviews more than a year ago when their ownership changed hands and a new chef came on board. This is a different Claire’s from then! From the appetizer of risotto balls stuffed with cheese to their special pasta dish for the evening and a signature dish of shepherds pie were wonderfully made. The shepherds pie was huge with wonderfully braised lamb and root vegetables. Dessert was a cheesecake stuffed crepe that I’ve never had anywhere else. A unique dining experience with homemade food made from scratch locally sourced as much as possible. We never go out in the summer to dine with all the tourists. So I can assure you this time of year the service was impeccable. Everyone went over the top to assure that you’re satisfied. Every year we struggle with where to go for a special anniversary or business dinner. Claire’s is on the short list for both now.
Fried Egg Burger. My boyfriend ordered it and loved it very much. The food was tasty but service was slow. We waited for 30 minutes but the waitress was sincere and friendly. Considering the setting of restaurant and taste of foods, i can say it was really successful.
Estes Gourmet!. February 6, 2015Weve just come home from an impromptu Friday night dinner at Claires and want to say to everyone in Estes Park, Allen Park, and every other Park: RUN to experience what Claires new executive chef, Bill Brink, can do with food! According to our still-tingling taste buds, the bar in Estes has been significantly raised. We had a light and crispy pork schnitzel with lemon and capers and a juicy, delicious chicken roulade that came with perfectly crunchy-sweet whole green beans. We ate off each others plates down to the shine. We think Claires has always been a solid, middle-of-the-road place, in line with a lot of other good restaurants in town. Now, though, its taken off straight up to the top of the pack. Dont wait!Grant and Chris FlemingEstes Park
Only had a burger but it was very tasty. Also had lentil soup that good. Decent lunch
Claire’s looks like it is more if a breakfast place. Our group had the Ruben Sandwich with fries, the Club Sandwich, Chicken strips from the appetizers & Fish and Chips. The Ruben was not bad but not great; the Club was a basic no frills club sandwich cut into little squares; the chicken strips were few & small, cooked very hard – these seemed to be frozen and just popped on a plate; the Fish & Chips were also just so-so. So the experience was not totally terrible but it was adequate.
Customer. Claire’s on the Park was a fabulous place to eat. From the time you walk into the door to the time you walk out it was nothing but wonderful. The service, the food and the price will continue to bring me back. Good job Ryan!
