GREAT ribs! Reasonable prices and good portions. We went for dinner and it was very busy. Long wait time so call ahead. The 3 meat platter was great.
For dinner I ordered the Dave’s Double. Now, I obviously didn’t plan that very well on the trying different things area, because the two meat’s that I chose were the brisket and pulled pork again. The pulled pork was my favorite. The smokey flavor was very pronounced and the meat was still juicy. The brisket was also good. The smoke ring on the edges of the slices just reminded me of how much time they actually put into cooking their meats on the smoker. I tried the meat with all of the different kinds of BBQ sauce and I would have to say, although I liked all of them, that the mustard was still my favorite. For my two sides I ordered the Southern corn bake, which was my favorite thing other than the cornbread on my plate. And I also chose Grandma’s tater salad. The tater salad wasn’t bad, but I hate a large mayonnaise based sauce and that is all that I could taste.

The food and service were good. The brisket was nice and tender. My wife’s steak was a little undercooked initially so we asked to have it put back on the grill for a bit longer. It had a nice flavor to it. All of the sides were tasty: red beans and rice, French fries, smashed potatoes, and spiced apples. My wife loved the corn bread.
OMG the best food I ever ate! Everything was good even the sweet tea. You have to try the bake beans and smash potatoes with the St. Louis ribs!!! Don’t forget the corn bread either.16 Oct, 2014St. Louis Ribs. Incredibly awesome! I couldn’t wait so this is the aftermath!
Ok you haters… Ive been traveling colorado and eating at fancy to backyard spots for two weeks. Smokin Daves did not disapoint this Austin Texas Original. My family really enjoyed this food. I recomend it for sure. Probably one of the best place in Estes to grab a bite. Trust me, ive spent more money elswhere in this town that seems to lack in a decent restaurant.
