Not worth what you pay.. I have no problem splurging for a good meal, but when I do I expect the experience to be top notch all around. The food was over seasoned to the point that we couldn’t taste the meat. To make matters worse, the restroom looked like it belonged in a gas station. Very unimpressed!

Disappointed. My wife and I are on our honeymoon, we thought we’d go to Twin Owls for a good steak. The atmosphere was perfect!! However, the food was not good at all. I had the $30 ribeye, I wouldn’t have paid $8 for it. The mashed potatoes were good. But this place is just not worth the price. The service was poor as well. I will NOT be returning.

My husband and I ate at twin owls on a recent trip to Estes. Although the atmosphere was nice and staff were friendly, the food was just not that great for the price you pay. The sides were not good. They roasted potatoes that came with my steak looked and tasted like they had been in the oven cooking for about a day and a half. The mashed potatoes were odd. A standard baked potato option did not seem to be available. The veggies were the only side worth eating. The filet was actually a great cut of meat and cooked really well. But the sauces they put on it with the blue cheese just spoiled a great piece of meat. The prime rib was barely warm when served and was just okay in flavor. Good luck if you go here. I won’t be returning.

Very good.. Nice, clean, quiet atmosphere with friendly service. Nice for a small romantic meal or a large family meal that you want to enjoy and not be rushed. Food was good; nothing stood out in a spectacular way, but it would be a place I would visit again.

Wow, what an amazing meal! The elk medallions were to die for, very tender. (I’d recommend medium rare since wild game tends to get tough if cooked too much.) The green chili white cheddar mashed potatoes had such a unique and wonderful flavor. Creme brle portion was quite generous compared to most places and very silky but was barely sweet. It tasted like someone forgot to add half of the sugar.

Food was not that special, but good service. My husband and I checked out the menu, and it looks like a really nice place to try. The restaurants website said that they use organically grown and grass-fed beef. We didnt have a reservation but we were seated quickly. I ordered bacon wrapped scallops and French onion soup. The scallops and the soup tasted fine. My husband got a salad with raspberry dressing and the dressing was just so- so. I got stuffed chicken breast and my husband had beef tenderloin kabobs. The chicken was all right, the beef was okay, and the southern rice was way too sweet. Overall, this place is a classy fine dining restaurant, but the food was nothing special. The only good thing was service and the food came out at the right time.

Wow! What a lovely surprise. Beautiful dining room in a picturesque setting. I had the stuffed chicken breast – fabulous! Stuffed with wild boar sausage, Heirloom tomatoes and pepperjack cheese. My boyfriend had the lamb chops and thought the Parmesan crust was delicious, but they were cooked a bit longer than ordered. A fine choice for a great dinner in Estes Park CO!
