We were very surprised with this restaurant. Thought it would be somewhat classy inside – it’s not. It’s small with weird chairs. Somewhat cramped. Our server was extremely quiet, but he was attentive and pleasant. Laughed at our stupid jokes. Did not come back with proper change for a smart tip. Food was fairly good! Elk burger wasn’t dry and served medium as requested, and the reuben was packed with meat. We enjoyed the calamari, but the portion size was a bit small for the price. Moscow mule was decent with the choice of vodka, though it seemed a bit watery. We enjoyed ourselves, and it was very comfortable temperature wise inside – important summer info in a rare-AC environment!

My wife swears that they were a frozen and just heated, her second one was not any better. My 17 yr old son ordered the Fish and chips, he really didn’t like it. No flavor. We talked to the couple across from us and they had a steak but only ate a quarter of it, stated it was all fat and not good. We all left very disappointed. I’m never going there again… avoid this place would be my recommendation.
It’s not good food! We ordered apps and decided not to order anything else! Yuck!
Very good. I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews, maybe we came on a good day. I ordered the lunch special, which was a chicken pesto sandwich, and for my son the fish and chips. For a kids menu fish and chips, it was well worth the price. It seemed like a cracker crust and freshly made. The sandwich was excellent. Nothing fancy, but very good. If I were to return, I would try Wild Rose again. Perhaps I will stick to their lunch specials, but I thought it was very good and the prices were good as well.
The steaks we had tasted like they were made the day before and reheated under a heat lamp, they were then slathered with a super strong sauce which masked any remaining flavor. Came with undercooked and plain vegetables which I think were just thawed bagged fair from the supermarket. I don’t mean to be rude but our meals were very poor.
Trout had some bones in it. Elk burger was over cooked. We would not go back.
