  Excellent meal and great service!. Recovered from an marathon migraine yet not feeling like slaving over a hot stove, I chose rather to let Applebee’s do the cooking for me and my 9 year old daughter on July 29th, 2014. I’m so glad I did. I’m not entirely sure what time we arrived but it was late in my book for dinner. We were seated quickly and our server, Katie P, came over soon after that to greet us and get us started with drinks which came out quickly.When it came to ordering I was pleased to discover that Katie is the type of server who talks directly to children when asking for their order – in my case I feel this helps with my daughter’s confidence and provides her with an opportunity to use her manners. We ordered the pretzels with the cheese sauce and honey mustard dipping sauce. Bravo – this appetizer goes several steps beyond that of the Chili’s version and I let Katie know that so she could pass it on. My burger (the Black and Bleu) was SO DELICIOUS and cooked exactly to perfection – still very juicy! I’m glad I opted for the onion rings as I used the remaining beer/cheese sauce that came with our appetizer to dip them in and it was heaven. Katie came back several times to check on our drinks (which she never get below half) and to query satisfaction with our meals – and always with a smile on her face and NEVER making any request seem like anything we asked for was an imposition. (At one point toward the end of the meal she refilled my daughter’s drink and while she was gone I realized that I needed a take-home container. I hate asking servers to make multiple trips and I apologized for her having to go back again but she was exceedingly pleasant about it.)No room for dessert this time but with the service and military discount, I shall surely return as it appears the menu has been updated with many tasty sounding items.Lisa & Abbeigh G
